  9. Consequently, the heart has 
  10. four chambers: the two atria 
  11. which collect the blood from 
  12. the two portions of the 
  13. circulatory system and the 
  14. two ventricles which take 
  15. the blood from the atria 
  16. and pump it back out into 
  17. the body.  The right 
  18. atrium or auricle collects 
  19. the deoxygenated blood from 
  20. the systemic circulation.
